February community meeting

The community meeting for February will be held on the second floor of Pickle’s Pub on Wednesday, February 1, at 7pm. All are welcome. There will be an online option for anyone who is uncomfortable with meeting in person. Login details will be posted on the Ridgely’s website at: ridgelysdelight.org/feb23-meeting

Neighborhood happy hour

February’s First Friday Happy Hour will take us to the Wico Street Beer Company. Located at 1100 Wicomico Street, (enter through the back, southwest corner, of the building)—Wico Street is the latest micro-brew to open in our area. Happy hour starts at 5:30pm on Friday, February 3. Everyone is welcome! The Fuzzies Burgers food truck will be parked outside of the brewery that evening.

A group of neighbors are planning to walk there that night from Ridgely’s. You can join them on the corner of Washington Blvd. and Martin Luther King Blvd. at 5:15pm.

2023 community dumpster schedule

Mark your calendar, Ridgley’s Delight has scheduled four community dumpsters for 2023:

  • March 4
  • May 27
  • August 5
  • September 30

Need to dispose of items between those dates? There are two convenient city drop of stations near us: 701 Reedbird Ave. in Cherry Hill and 2840 Sisson St. in Hampden. Both are open every day except Sunday, 9am to 5pm and will accept a wide range of materials. https://publicworks.baltimorecity.gov/solid-waste/drop-off

Join in the community safety walks

Every Monday evening, weather permitting, a group of neighbors will walk throughout the neighborhood. They are always looking for others to walk with them. No experience necessary. Contact Maia at maia.tatinclaux@gmail.com to find out when and where to meet.

BARCs dog wedding

This event is an alternative gala-style fundraising event to support the mission of the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), the largest animal shelter and safe haven in the state of Maryland. Join Lily and Nugget and celebrate their slobbery love at the Lord Baltimore Hotel on the evening of Feb. 4. https://barcswedding.org/

Ten days of dining deals

February recycling dates

Recycling is collected in the neighborhood on a bi-weekly schedule. Our pickup days this month will be:
