Baltimore by Baltimore holiday makers market

On Saturday, December 3, you can experience a one-day-only transformation of the old H+M store inside the Light Street Pavilion at the Inner Harbor. This holiday makers market features more than 20 vendors including vintage clothing and home goods, self-care products, original art, skate wear, jewelry, and more. Open from 3pm to 8pm.  All goods at this event are crafted, produced, constructed, or designed by Baltimore artisans and entrepreneurs.

Monument lighting celebration

Illuminating the historic Washington Monument is a Baltimore holiday tradition that has been around for decades. The night includes caroling, food and good cheer. Fireworks cap the evening marking the official start of the holiday season. This year’s celebration will be on Thursday, December 1, from 5-8pm.

Tuba Christmas

Here’s a unique holiday tradition — the annual concert of tubas, euphoniums, sousaphones and baritones performing holiday carols in 4-part harmony. They will be at the Inner Harbor amphitheater, on Saturday, December 17, 3:30pm.

Plans for the Middle Branch have been released

Reimagine Middle Branch is a community-driven initiative to reconnect South Baltimore with a system of world-class parks, trails, programs, and economic development plans along the 11-mile shoreline around the Middle Branch of the Patapsco River.

The Reimagine Middle Branch Plan has just been released. It is a long-term vision for a new “park-shed” which connects South Baltimore neighborhoods to one another and to the waterfront. As a watershed is a land area that channels rainfall and snowmelt to creeks, streams, and rivers, the park-shed is the territory within South Baltimore that channels people to the Middle Branch shoreline via a network of parks and public open spaces.
