Ridgely’s Delight Association (RDA) May community meeting

The May community meeting will be held outdoors and in-person, on Wednesday, May 4, at 7pm in the Melvin/Penn playground. There will be an online option for anyone who is uncomfortable with meeting in person. Rain plan is to be all Zoom - check online for decision and link, call will be made by 6pm day of meeting. Details will be posted on the Ridgely’s website at: ridgelysdelight.org/may22-meeting 

Download the newest version of Zoom and test your cameras and microphone beforehand. We will attempt to foresee all technical difficulties with the hybrid outdoor meeting. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through any issues.

Mayor’s clean up

Ridgely’s Delight will be participating in the Mayor’s Spring Cleanup on Saturday, April 30. Come out that morning and help make the neighborhood shine. We’ll meet at the shed in the Burgundy St. parking lot at 9:30am.

First Friday happy hour — Conway Park tailgate!


Come meet your neighbors starting at 5:30pm before the Orioles game on May 6th in Conway Park. Hot dogs and snacks will be served, BYOB.

Public works day celebration

It’s National Public Works Week and DPW is celebrating with an event on the promenade alongside the Jones Falls River in Harbor East (near Mr. Trash Wheel), Saturday, May 21, between 10am and 4pm. The festivities will include every kid’s favorite — Big Truck Day, their chance to see and interact with Public Works vehicles of all types. Also includes food trucks and tours of the Eastern Avenue Pumping Station.

Mount Vernon Flower Mart


Dating back to 1911, the Flower Mart is Baltimore’s oldest free public festival.

On April 29 and 30th, the Mount Vernon Place Conservancy’s Flower Mart returns to Mount Vernon Place, once again featuring a marketplace of local vendors offering flowers and plants, arts and crafts, and food and beverages.

Corks and Cocktails in Pigtown

Pigtown Main Street is hosting a “Grand Slam” cocktail party at Baltimore Urban Baseball Association (BUBA) 1205 S. Carey St., Thursday, May 26, 6 to 9pm.

Mingle with neighbors as you savor heavy hors d’oeuvres from Pigtown eateries and enjoy specialty cocktails, fine wine and craft beer. Batting cages will be open during the event.

Renovation reminders

All home improvement renovation work requires a Baltimore City permit. Additionally, Ridgely’s Delight is a historic neighborhood in a CHAP district and exterior work on your home requires CHAP approval prior to the start of any renovation.
