Orioles Opening Day Street Closures
A new baseball season starts with a 3 pm game on Monday, March 31st. Please note that there will be some street closures for special events and our ‘stadium event’ parking restrictions will be in effect.
Streets closed include:
- Portland Street, between Greene St. and Emory St.
- Emory Street, between Dover St. and Portland (in front of the Babe Ruth Museum)

Be careful, parked cars will be towed from those streets. Watch for posted signs the day before.
Opening Day Picnic in the Park
Join your neighbors in Conway Park, starting at 10 am, to celebrate Orioles Opening Day. Hot dogs, burgers, sausages, chips, and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided by the Ridgely’s Delight Association until they run out. Donuts and coffee will be there for those still waking up. Bring your own chair. Cornhole will be there too. The grill closes at 12:30 pm.
First Friday Happy Hour
Mark your calendar for another fantastic Ridgely’s Happy Hour. This month we’ll be at Pickett Brewing Company (1130 S. Paca St.) on Friday, April 4th, at 5:30 pm. Get ready for delicious craft beer, a delightful wine tasting featuring The Wine Collective and Sparked Together, live music from Sarah Larsen, and mouthwatering bites from the Taste 410 food truck. Let’s celebrate spring together!
Annual Egg Hunt in the Playground
The neighborhood will once again host an Egg Hunt in the Melvin/Penn tot lot. This will be held on Easter Sunday (April 20th). All children who frequent the tot lot are invited to participate, with an adult.
Gates will open at 9:55 am for kids under 4 years old; at 10 am for kids 4-6; and at 10:05 for seven years and above. Show up a few minutes early and wait for the gates to open. Again, this year, we will have an under 2 section. If your kid just wants to find a few easy ones and then sit in the grass, this section is for them.
