Ridgely’s Record
June Community Meeting
This month’s community meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 5, at The Starting Lineup Bar and Grill, 213 Penn Street, starting at 7 pm. Everyone is welcome.
If you cannot attend the meeting in person, you can join us online. Login details and the agenda will be posted online.
Neighborhood Happy Hour
Raise a glass with your neighbors! This month’s Ridgely’s Delight Happy Hour takes us to a Baltimore classic: The Back Yard.
Located right across the street from the B&O Railroad Museum (131 South Schroeder St.), The Back Yard is more than just a bar — it’s a historic neighborhood hangout. Whether you’re stopping by for a perfectly crafted cocktail, a glass of boutique wine, or a local brew, you'll find something to quench your thirst along with a creative food selection.
New to Ridgely’s Delight? These happy hours are always a fantastic way to meet your neighbors and become part of the community.
Parking Authority Mix-up
Some neighbors may have received a misleading email from the City of Baltimore Parking Authority. That agency has since confirmed that we don’t need to take any action until our annual parking renewal in September.
The Charles Street Promenade
On Saturday, June 8, talk a walk along the Charles Street Promenade Pedestrian Takeover as it transforms the historic Charles Street thoroughfare into a lively pedestrian-friendly zone, featuring exciting street-front activations, live musical performances, and more. Explore, shop, and savor the flavors of Charles Street, which will be free of vehicular traffic from Saratoga Street to North Avenue from 11 am to 6 pm.
2024 Ridgely’s Gala
Mark your calendars! The Ridgely's Delight Gala returns this year for another unforgettable evening. Join your neighbors for an evening of fun, food, and community spirit on Friday, August 9th. Stay tuned for more details!
Pride Baltimore
Baltimore’s annual Pride Celebration is a week-long event (June 10th to 16th) with a parade, festival, and concerts. It’s a great time to celebrate the city’s rich diversity.
AFRAM 2024
AFRAM is one of the largest African-American festivals on the East Coast! It is hosted in Baltimore City’s Druid Hill Park and draws crowds of over 100,000 each year. For two days (June 22 and 23), people from all walks of life come together to enjoy national entertainment, local eats, and much more.
National Night Out
Save the date! On Tuesday, August 6, Ridgely’s Delight will celebrate National Night Out with a potluck in Conway Park. This annual event encourages people to get outside to meet their neighbors and interact with police and fire fighters. It is meant to strengthen neighborhood spirit and build partnerships in an informal setting. Watch this newsletter and social media for more details.
