Ridgely’s Delight Association (RDA) April community meeting

There will be an online community meeting on Wednesday, April 7, at 7 pm. The guest speaker will be Steve Robinson, Residential Parking Permit Manager of the Parking Authority of Baltimore City (PABC). He will update the community on the rollout for virtual permit parking (VPP) in the Riverside neighborhood, the timeline for VPP in Ridgely’s and the parking renewal process. There will be time for questions and answers.

Anyone who lives, works, or owns property in Ridgely’s Delight is welcome, but preregistration for this Zoom event will be required.

April street sweeping dates

Automatic street sweeping has been canceled until further notice. If you have the time and you’re able to help, please take a moment and clean the curbs in front of your house.

Trash will be picked up every Wednesday.
Recycling will be picked up every Friday.

Community Dumpster

A dumpster for community use is scheduled for Saturday, April 3. It will be located in the 600 block of West Conway St., and should arrive sometime between 8 and 9am. It will be picked up approximately 4 hours later. Here’s a chance to remove large branches or debris from the neighborhood.

Broken furniture, old rugs or a few things from your basement are fine. Please do not dispose of any building materials. No lumber, drywall, siding, roofing material, etc. Empty or dried up latex paint cans are ok, but not oil-based paint. No electronics, large appliances or hazardous material. Thanks in advance for helping keep our neighborhood clean.

‘Go fly a kit’ weekend

East Baltimore’s Creative Alliance is encouraging everyone to head outside the weekend of April 10th and 11th to go fly a kite!

Let’s fill the sky with vibrant colors, welcome spring to Baltimore. Take a picnic to the lovely Patterson Park, or any other city location. Soak up the breeze and sunshine, and launch kites into the air. The Creative Alliance will be open on both days to sell kites and to tell you about available local specials.

Orioles season opener

The Orioles’ 2021 baseball season at Camden Yards begins with a 3:05 p.m. first pitch for their home opener against the Boston Red Sox on Thursday, April 8.They will be welcoming fans back to Oriole Park at Camden Yards this year at 25 percent capacity with updated gameday policies and procedures, including social distancing, no outside food and drink, pod seating, a mask requirement, contactless digital ticketing and more. Other than in front of Pickles Pub (500 block of Washington Blvd.), there will not be any street closures in our neighborhood this year.

Easter Bunny egg hunt & train rides

The B&O Railroad Museum has scheduled an egg hunt with the Easter Bunny in the B&O’s spacious Roundhouse, followed by a train ride on the Mile One Express. Their Sensory Friendly Easter Egg Hunt on Fri, Apr. 2 will offer a more accessible experience for visitors with sensory processing differences, including modified lights & sounds, sensory kits available, and more staff on-hand.

Kids: $6 with Museum admission, $3 for B&O Members. Adults: Included with Museum admission, FREE for B&O Members
