Ridgely’s Egg Hunt
The neighborhood will once again host an Easter egg hunt in the tot lot. This will be held on Easter Sunday. All children who frequent the tot lot are invited. The cost is free, however you must RSVP to EGladd@yahoo.com before April 3. Please share your kids’ ages when you RSVP. Last year, each kid was able to take home a dozen eggs each! We have plenty of eggs lined up again this year, but we need your RSVP to ensure we have enough. If it looks like we will have a giant turn out we may need to institute a $5/kid donation request to help defray the cost, but our intent is to keep it free. Each child should bring their own Easter basket, however we do have a few neighborhood ones so just let Eileen know you would like to use one of those when you RSVP.
The gates will open at 9:45AM sharp for kids 4 and under. 5 and 6 year olds will be allowed in at 9:55 and 7+ after 10AM. Show up a few minutes early and wait for the gates to open. New this year will be a 2.5 and under section. If your kid just wants to find a few easy ones and then sit in the grass, this section is for you.
There will be an egg dying station, bubbles, and good neighborhood fun. Hopefully you will plan to stick around and play with your friends, and maybe find one or two of the really well-hidden eggs after everyone else has given up.
To help keep this event reasonable and somewhat sustainable, the eggs will be collected and reused next year, so please close them up and deposit them in the paper bags by the gate on your way out (but keep the goodies that were inside).
We are looking forward to this this special event for the kids. Come join us! Don’t forget to RSVP by April 3rd to EGladd@yahoo.com.
